|
|
Hi,
in the last weeks I converted the front drum breakes of my 1959 Frogeye from 7" to 8". So the breake surface increas is 30 %.
Nessesary where the Austin A40 Mk 2 backplates, drums, breake shoes, springs and adjusters. The brake zylinders are the same, I only enlarged the holes in the back plates (+6mm). Some parts are the same like Morris Minor.
The breake effect is smooth and nice and I hope I have no fading when I drive down the Passo Stelvio (Italy - 2800 m).
Did anyone else made this conversion?
All the parts I got from the Austin A40 Club of GB, thanks to the spare man.
Ciao
