I thought I'd kick off a thread that can contain random pics of interesting old motorcycles, maybe seen at shows, or while out and about. No set theme, just some neat photos taken over the last few years.

To start with,

Feel free to wade in with your favourite images Smile

I never owned a Goldie but feel I should have done:

The forerunner of my own Ariel Sq4. But with Overhead camshaft.

Twin Twins. Not really! one is a 5T the other a 5TA which should have a skirt around the rear.

My Gentry behind them (second picture).

Don't know what happened here, but a second photo appears (with a lot of unrelated ones) if you click on this picture.

It's a 1904 726cc Peugeot, I had a few weeks in New Zealand early this year and saw it in The Packard and Pioneer Museum "History on wheels" exhibition in Whangarei.

The main museum is not far away and has a collection of 64 bikes from 1904 to the 1970's along with 52 Packard cars.

Sadly the main museum was not open when we were there.

Hi
Don't the pots look small for 726cc?
Modern bikes with much smaller engines seem have a lot more metal.

More power = more heat = bigger cooling fins?
