Whereabouts are you?
I've seen a couple of websites advertising full stainless systems but they really aren't cheap!

JP Exhausts in Macclesfield, will make you any sort of pipe, in mild or stainless.
Re the electronic ignition, if the car has a dynamo make sure the electronics has adequate protection against the noise and spikes, otherwise its may be a short lived system

I'm in Buckinghamshire - I don't need an exhaust in the short term but I intend to hang on to the Pilot for a good few years so am looking for a sort of wish list for the future.
Steering wheel repair though is going to be required soon I think. |

I'm looking at Powerflow at the moment as we have a depot locally. Will keep you updated as to progress.
I'll keep a look out for steering wheels, what's up with yours? |

The steering wheel is badly cracked at the spokes and feels a bit "springy" when I have to heave the steering round to get it off the drive onto the road.
I've found a place on line, but haven't contacted them yet.
They actually show a Pilot wheel on the website

Managed to patch the exhaust up till I can get some new down pipes made. In the meantime I need to find a replacement dizzy cap and rotor arm as I'm still not convinced they're working correctly.
I can't get a decent reliable spark at the plugs despite cleaning the points and resetting the gaps. The centre carbon brush from the coil lead had broken, so I replaced this but without much joy. I've checked the continuity back to the coil but it is 'iffy' at best. The coil lead seems ok, so I think its dizzy cap/rotor arm time........
btw, thanks for the help with the electronic ignition question, I've ordered a set from Frank Jolley, a really helpful guy, especially when you find out exactly which dizzy is actually fitted to the car!

Thanks guys, she's up and running again now and off to Autostyl in Chacewater for her respray......
Standby for some more pictures.
In the meantime, I've been a very lucky boy indeed and have just managed to acquire another classic which will be joining Amelia in our new venture. I'm now going to head over to the Armstrong Siddeley forum to say hello  |

Unfortunately it's cracking and bubbling all over, so it's all coming off!
The primer used in the original restoration is waxy like putty and it's not providing a good key at all. 
It's going to be done in a modern 2 pack, so jt should last better. |

Unfortunately for us, this now means that the original time and budget are truly blown!
