I was a few years back when I had my Ten, they produce a good magazine and the spares scheme looks quite comprehensive. The local area group to us seems quite active too although I never went to a meeting. In the end I let my membership drop, as generally I was able to find any spares that I needed elsewhere, so my main reason for joining was made redundant by and large.
Look forward to hearing more about your buy sometime!?

Is it up and running?
Mechanically they're not bad to find parts for, as the engine shares that of the Herald. The only parts I seem to remember being a little scarcer were related to the front suspension, so if the club re-manufacturers parts for the front end, it'd be worth joining for that reason alone.
Like I say the mag is pretty good also, although personally I was only interested in 8s and 10s at the time, so only a small % of the mag was relevant to my specific interest.

I'm a member. Magazine is sometimes fascinating, sometimes merely a review of a social club. It is good quality full colour though.
My experience buying spares for a 1962 Ensign Deluxe from the Vanguard spares man was not good. Nothing fitted and it was always "Definitely the right part your car must be wrong" except when sourcing the parts from ebay etc. they fitted fine.
The spares for the Eight/Ten and Pre-war cars are run by different people. _________________ 1937 Standard Flying Twelve
