Good morning, I'm looking for some information please. Yesterday I removed the distributor from my 1954 Ford Popular to over haul it and found the following numbers on the underside in the casting, 'R618' and 'BH4' however seraching these numbers on Google I can't find any information. Can anyone shed any light as to what these are or refer to and what number type the distributor be as fitted as standard to a Ford Pop. Thanks

Hi Dobbin,

I can't help with R618 but BH4 = Ball bearing, Horizontal cable outlet, 4 cylinder.
