I discovered this car in a small hamlet in the Perigord (Dordogne) region of south west France.
The car belonged to a local classic and vintage car collector who I met some ten years ago.
About three years ago he passed away.
Last year I discovered his son had removed many of the 1920`s/1930`s cars to his own property. I asked if he would sell this car to me. It took him until last week to decide to part with this little Renault.
We returned to the UK with the car last Friday 27th Sept.
Today the 29th Sept we took the car still on the trailer to the Sywell Props and Pistons event. It was very popular with the visiting public and fellow enthusiasts.
The car is very original. It has never been welded. The interior needs the seats re-upholstering and a new headlining fitted (small holes in the fabric).
The engine is free, I was told that they would start it from time to time.
I am going to concentrate on the mechanical side of the car at the moment so I can use her before winter sets in.
Then I will decide if to spray her, or just clean up the very original paint work.

I must change that number plate on the rear of my trailer, I sold that vehicle 6 years ago.!!!!
I wonder if the new owner is getting my speeding tickets ? |
