My Singer has a period Lucas, stick on demister fitted, to be fair, it works really well.
One point that bugs me however is the huge, green illuminated toggle switch that is fitted to it (under dash)
I have a nice chrome bracket with 2 mounting holes so I have bought this switch and warning light.

The wiring from demister is a simple swap-over as it has 2 wires to the switch currently..how do I wire in the warning light properly though?

Kev Very Happy

Hi Kev

the warning lamp needs to be wired in parallel to the screen element.

Cheers

Kev,

From the switch terminal that the wire to the element is on add another wire and connect it to one side of the warning lamp, the other terminal get connected to earth. So on the switch you will have one feed wire (ignition controlled), the other terminal has the two wires.

If you are moving the switch, it would be an ideal time to put a relay in the circuit and take the load off the switch.
