Nice one Peter

Love 'Then N Now' or 'Now N Then' photos and memories

I have a photo of Thika Falls in Africa taken by my father in the 1930's
My Niece has a photo of Thika Falls taken on her honeymoon nearly 70 years later and it looks like she stood on the same spot her Grandfather stood all those years before.

A neat set of photos, I'm not sure I have too many "then and nows" to hand.

These pictures have been on one of the Ford Model Y pages for a while now:

I've added a few more in the first post. The colour "Then" shots range from about 1953 to 1975.

Thanks Peter S.

A great idea. This forum/site has amassed quite the collection of photos.

Some of us have likely seen a car dangling from a crane as it is being loaded onto a ferry, for the younger and future generations, photos like this provide a valuable history.

Hi Peter,

Google street view has made this thread an armchair voyage for me but I'm afraid it couldn't offer a "Now" view for this.

Peter

My father's A70 taken by your's truly about 1957 at Oban.

Ford produced some smashing styling around that time. Nowadays mass-produced cars all look the same.

Hi John,

That's a rather more sensible cradle than Macbraynes were using a decade previous.

I know you've seen my MM photo before but on Wednesday I traveled up through Glen Coe in the SS so couldn't resist adding
this "Now & Then" spanning the 50 years from my Series II Morris Minor to my present day SS.

Peter
