My pre war Morris has been converted from 6v to 12v using the usual Lucas/Regulator dynamo set up.
Everything works fine and so I would prefer to keep it this way.
I am replacing a lot of the shabby wiring though.
However, I feel it should have a fuse or 2 somewhere in the circuit.
Where should they go and what rating should they be?

There were usually 2 fuses fitted, one on the ignition side and one for live feeds, as for rating it would depend on what you have connected to the circuits. If it were me I would put inline fuses onto as many component circuits as possible as that would allow a lower fuse rating on individual items _________________ ROVER
