T B H no, bought an NG but didn`t get on with it, thought i always wanted an MBG GT V8 and when i bought one same thing, i know it sounds daft but i`ve had a lot of cars over the years and they were ones i always fancied owning but hadn`t had. Lost a fair bit on them two and thought bugger it no more ..............fast forward and here we are again. So far this one scratches all the itches, early days yet |

A few more pics
As you can see the upholstery is badly damaged, had to put a blanket on to drive it.

Did you mean me, Rick??
Very nice looking car, Dennis. Being an import, it will have a full-size motor, not the reduced bore of the few that sold in the U.K. IMHO the A is probably the most every-day useable of Vintage era cars. Drive it as it should be driven, leaving plenty of space between yourself and the cars in front. Make sure that the brakes are set up correctly- remembering that as they are 60%/40% with the higher figure for the rear, careful adjustment on the fronts is very important. Maintain it properly. Do all that and you can enjoy a car that will take you from 5 mph to 60+ mph in top gear, and be a lot of fun to drive.
Congratulations on your purchase, Dennis. Enjoy it.

Dennis, the Cyclops is my most recent acquisition, and I am very happy with it, especially as it is one of the 'square instrument' 1950 models.
Re the A, although it is a few years now since I was running one, I have had a few in years past, so if you have any questions, I will be happy to put on my thinking cap and see if I can answer them.
You might find this film clip of interest, about a little trip that my wife and I did in 1975.

We retraced that excursion earlier this year, but alas, not in a Ford.

I don't know who bought it, hopefully it'll escape the attentions of the angle-grinder and chrome wheel brigade ...
