Evening all,
Is anyone here also a fan of classic tractors? Does anyone own one (or more)?
For our part, we've a grey Fergie, which gets used from time to time to move a certain large-ish, non-running, lump around, and for general amusement. I'll see if I have a picture somewhere.
Next door owns, and uses for business, a Fergie, while opposite they've just bought a restored Massey Ferguson 65 for light jobs around their place. A bloke about a mile down the road has a MF 35 parked in his garden, which moves around quite regularly.

I've always been interested in old tractors as I grew up in the country.
I used to own a 1946 Farmall B row crop tractor. It was in shabby condition and rather rusty as it had spent time as a boat tractor. It was the first old vehicle I ever owned, I received it as a Christmas present from my father when I was only 13! It was the first thing I learned to drive, although starting it was down to Dad since crank starting was a bit of a challenge for a skinny 13 year old.... |

My father has a very rusty MF35 Grey Gold, though any hint of those colours are long gone!! He still uses it regularly with it front bucket and rear grass cutting attachments
I do Hope to get involved with it one day
He also has a red International B250 which may be for sale at some point,
needs a ring gear replacement as far as I know....

Active Tractor owners section of the Car Club up here. They are due for their annual run out in the next couple of weeks, last year they went over to Caithness, must have been hell for the drivers of conventional vehicles to come across a stream of tractors! The club also promotes a ploughing match, with classes for juveniles, novice etc. The field is used to plant barley, and when harvested, the profit going to a local charity. _________________ KA

I have been trying to buy this 1955 Farmall Cub for ages. The owner says here husband bought it new in 1955 and it was put in the shed where it is now in 1963 when her husband became sick. He only had a small holding of about one acre as a hobby and it has had very little use. Totally original, no dents or rusty panels at all, underneath the dust the paint looks perfect. Would be superb left in oil rag condition. Rare to find anything old over here.

A local farmer kept his 1967 Massey Ferguson 135 after retiring and had it restored professionally.
He still uses it on the road occasionally and I'll try and take a photo of it the next time it makes an appearance. _________________ Starting Handle Expert
