Here's the latest rescue mission. A garage find rather than a barn find but it was in danger of being scrapped so it had to come home...

It is a Railton. Well identified as its an obscure one! It's 1938 Railton 10 based on Standard 10 mechanics. They built 50 of them, 36 convertibles and 14 saloons. There's a couple other known saloons around in the UK though non have been seen for many years, and the next body number on to this one is alive and well in the USA.
Letting the council clear the garage and take it away for scrap was not really an option obviously. Fortunately the daughter of the owner contacted the Railton Owners Club and we could mount a rescue mission. _________________ cheers

By all means. Not done any work on it yet other than look at it and drown the woodworm. There's some very shaky areas of wood... Engine turns over with compression though _________________ cheers

Here's the rear view. Will get an interior shot too though its not good. It's supposed to have a sideways facing rear seat, being too small for conventional forward facing rear seat so its a three seater. However that's long gone and its just open to the boot presumably for carrying long loads...
