I hear some old f***ts failed to organise as promised the ECCR Rally in the UK for 2016 - there's rumour it might be going to Sweden - sadly I can't go there at such short notice, don't suppose your new club can rescue the UK promise; I know the P&CCC was interested in helping but were sidelined.
Anyway, it's really great that you've set up this umbrella organisation for the more modern but still very old vans - indeed Retro Caravans! _________________ David Rachel

I understand that there is history going on between yourselves, and while I do sympathise with your alleged position and disputes (I've been in a similar position myself with restorers), I don't want the forum to become a conduit for back and forth allegations and counter-allegations, and I have neither wish nor time to be in the middle of it and have to monitor the debate religiously. Most forums would simply ban both users from the first hint of aggravation. Your discussions and comments really belong elsewhere.
Both parties have had chance to make their position known.
I don't wish the discussion to continue here please. I'd ask you to clean up this latest thread, remove your posts, and bring it back on-topic by the end of the day please. I'll then remove wilson294's replies. This would surely a positive thing to do for the sake of your new club.
For the sake of my forum - which I've run and built up over many years - I need to consider both parties' continued access to forum posting, which I'll give consideration to today. Such debates tend to drive other posters away, and that's not something I can allow to happen.
Ironically wilson294's postings have been to the positive recently. Yes, I'm sure there is a business incentive to this, but from a forum admin point of view, he's done little if anything to actually deserve a ban if I'm honest - based on my own limited experience with him.
While I fully understand that you have issues with wilson294, not knowing both sides of the story, it's not really my place to judge. I can only really go off what I see taking place on the forum.
thanks, RJ. _________________ Rick - Admin

Chris, that's a pretty libellous statement you have made, whether right or wrong its generally not a good idea to publish in the public domain, I'd concider removing it even if you are in the right, as it won't help to sort out the original problem.

I've even had the Retro Caravan Club emailing me directly about this now. Unless the thread is cleaned up by the end of today, more permanent actions will be taken regarding one or both parties' continued use of the forum.

This has gone on long enough.
Posting rights - and postings made to this point - by both parties, have now been removed.
Who is right, who is wrong, is neither my concern nor my interest. The dispute should have remained in private, ie outside of OCC, which is a public arena. It didn't, so I've had to take this unfortunate decision.
I wish to hear no more about either party, this includes the newly-formed club that was the original post of this thread.
