The above item on my E93A engine jiggles about and leaks. I have tried tapping it down but it soon becomes loose. Any workshop dodges to secure it? The engine is mounted rigidly in a Morgan F4.

This is a new one for me, despite thrashing the nuts out of the 10hp round most of the premier race circuits in the UK, mine has stayed-put.
As a suggestion, it seems that the constant vibration has reduced the diameter of the oil filler tube to the point where, even when forced into place, the tube bottoms out on the engine casting, before getting tight.
Try cutting around an inch off the bottom of the filler, to give a fresh un-reduced tube in the engine casting, alternatively try cleaning the surfaces and using stud-lock on the faces.

Ka, I think that is what has happened, the constant vibration has worn the original tight fit and it now bottoms out. Chopping a bit off does not seem to be an option as there is a ridge/waist round it, cutting above the ridge will interfere with the internal baffles. I do however have some loctite 660 I used elsewhere and I have cleaned it up and replaced it with that so hopefully it should be okay now.
