The valve for inlet and outlet is in the part that screws into the spark plug hole. VERY useful when dune bashing in soft going like sand or mud - we used to air-down to ~10psi to improve traction in slow going, but as soon as you hit a hard surface and could speed up you would have to re-inflate to normal pressures, and these devices are the quickest way to do it. The cheap 12V tyre pumps are a complete waste of money, especially when there is weight on the tyre.
