I'm interested to see it is registered as a Jowett, not a Bradford - surely Bradford was used as the manufacturer's name for the commercials? Perhaps it's always had windows and was originally a Jowett estate??? |

Complicated story here Mike, and a marketing exercise that backfired! Post-war Jowett called their commercial Bradford as it went to market before the Javelin was ready and they did not want the warmed-over pre-war commercial to be the image that the public had for post-war Jowett. By 1950 with the Bradford selling well and making a profit they came to rue that decision! |
