I can recall seeing something like that but can't think what it was.
I wonder about a Rootes product though.

Hmmm could well be it.
Coincidentally I've a print-out of that same photo stuck on my 2nd PC screen next to me here
I was speaking to a bloke earlier in the year who has a Hillman just like that, he was thinking of selling it but doesn't seem able to make up his mind.

I thought it might have been one of these :
A Commer Express Delivery Van

But I don't think so after seeing Peter's photo. The rear end is different. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

I was thinking along the lines of an Austin 8, and came across this.
Was Austin directing their advertising at Hosiery, Telephone or Shoe salesmen ? |

I think the positions of the rear door hinges are quite helpful. At least so in eliminations.

I think I'd go with it being a Jowett, maybe with a coachbuilt back end? _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

I think it is that Hillman. Window size, Door design, so no lights on the upper body and the horizontal trim under the windows.
All we need now are the names of the two girls. |
