Hi all can you help?. I will be getting back my Triumph Stag that has been completely paint stripped and ALOT of welding carried out!!!. When it comes back I need to get it under sealed and as a rolling chassis before it goes off for paint. I would like to able to have the inside of the arches sprayed the same colour as the rest of car but as I'm new to this I'm not sure where to start. There are a lot of products on the market which is slightly confusing.

Just my take on this

My landcrab has just undergone major welding and today is going to be undersealed. From 9 until about 3 it will be on a ramp with heaters underneath to ensure it is completely dry, and then every weld will be seam sealed again
Tomorrow the whole lot will be covered in shutz to seal it

If i want to paint over this, certainly the coverage and finish will be fine as I used this method 10 years ago when I restored a Moggy Traveller from a pile of bits to a near councors machine.

As I said, just my take on it. Others will no doubt disagree

i just stone chipped the underside of my classic mini this weekend , might not be as hard wearing as under seal/shutz , but i like the finish (dry and paintaible ) and to be honest the mini is not going to be an every day car.

not saying its right or wrong , just what i did.

Hi thank you for your response, I don't mean to come across as a numbnut but where would I get this done as I need to have it done before I refit the rear subframe/shocks etc and the front steering rack to make it a rolling chassis. Regards Keith.

Hi Stag Boy,

Welcome to the OCC forum.

I would imagine whoever done the welding, or is doing the paint will know where to get the undersealing done? Idea
