Great find, I've always liked the look of 4/44s, MG Magnettes and the other similarly-styled cars.

It is a Wolseley 4/44 from 1956.

Indeed the chassis number can be decoded as:

N - 4/44 (Model)
A - 4 Door Sallon (Body Type)
B - Light Grey (Colour)
1 - LHD (Export) (Market)
3 - Cellulose (Paint type)
/ - seperator
29228 - Seriela number - This particular Wolseley was made on the Tuesday 32st January 1956.
