Hi folks 2 questions
1 is it ok to use the red grease when rebuilding brake servos the piston type?
2 what kind of oil should I use in the vacuum piston housing( I have heard mention of mineral oil?) ?

The particular servo is a bendix hydrovac3

Thanks

In my book it says use castor oil for the leather washer in the servo.

I'm deeply interested how you get on Billy as I need to overhaul mine. Have you found instruction manual on its set up and any source of spares?
Mine seems to have a large amount of play in all the pivot linkages (but the piston bit works fine). Are the lever eyes bushed?
