Morning all,

While I'm not sure about Triumph's "razoredge" Mayflower, the larger Renown is an altogether better-looking machine to my eyes. Although early post-war cars don't seem to have the following of pre-war, or mid/late 1950s cars, I wouldn't say no to one of these.

Thoughts? Has anyone here owned or driven one?

I've no experience of them, but I too was quite taken with that one, although ten grand seems a bit steep for one with damaged upholstery and a re-issued registration ...

In my opinion the Mayflower is an ugly little thing where the styling does not work, the Renown however pulls the styling off quite well on the longer chassis.

That looks like a very good example. The engine and gearbox are essentially the same as in the Jaguar 1½ litre. The later ones used the much more ubiquitous Triumph 2 litre engine that has rather better spares provision.
