I was testing it by pumping into a can. I also needed some to mow the lawn!

I'm finding all kinds of cheap fittings from China--Free Shipping! $2 US for a 3/8" brass tee. $1.20 for a PAIR of 10mm (3/8") check valves. I'm going to test these aftermarket pumps to see if they flow while off. I might not need the check valves.

I'm in the midwest and this is a blue-gray 4-door (unfortunately!), but very clean and low miles/kilometers.

Be very careful of any cheap parts from China. Many are of such poor quality that you'll end up spending more in the end. I've seen the new E-type headlights from China and they are so poor that the metal bends in your hand. I live in France and buy some of my parts from Wesh Enterprises in the US purely because in some instances they are a lot cheaper and as good a quality as those found in Europe - including the Fedex costs! For example, the radiator for my early E-type was half the price than that demanded in the UK. I would suggest you find a local Jaguar club and ask advice since it will pay dividends.
