I have been trying without any luck to phone through to Collectors Car Parts, I have been trying for over a week now and the phone just continually rings.

Has anyone else tried them recently?

Perhaps they're on holiday? I tried day after day to get through to someone who had made an unsuccessful repair to one of my cars and after about twelve days went to his premises only to find locked gates.
When I asked in the unit next door where they told me he was on holiday and would be back the next week, which he was and the repair is now being put right.

I am coming to the conclusion that its either holiday or illness? I have always had very good service from them.

Still trying to get through to them and there is absolutely nothing, whatever time I call during the day.

But, strange thing is that whilst trawling ebay at lunch today I spotted some autojumble and upon looking had this very same phone number and address!?!? I have contacted them through ebay to see what is happening.

I live no more than ten minutes by car from there, I'll try and pop round to see what's happened to them.

Be prepared to be disappointed...there's a notice of repossession on the door, the place is empty apart from some taped up boxes, and out the back a shelf unit with a load of starter motors and dynamos. Sad

Such a shame, the stock in there was huge and so varied.

All may not be lost. If you go to the website http://www.collectorscarparts-heathrow.co.uk/index.php/practical-classic-garage you'll see he also runs a garage which is only about half a mile away from the industrial estate. If I get the chance next week I'll go over there and make some enquiries.
The repossession notice was dated 7th August with the disposal of any stock left there dated 8th September, so lets hope he managed to move it to the other premises. Otherwise, what's left at the industrial estate is lost unless it turns up at auction somewhere.

Its his garage, the practical classics garage that is selling off things on ebay. It looks like they are clearing the garage too.
