What size of gasket paper?

Hello,

I don't know much about gasket paper so this could be a daft question. I am going over my Armstrong lever shocks on my Healey 100 and I need to replace the gasket as part of the process. The original looks quite thick to me and almost rubber like. I have some 0.8mm paper and wondered if this would do the job?
