Well that gives it away!

Ford V8 for sure and I would say the side louvres would make it a Model 68?

I'm told that the colour was used by it's first owner because he used it on some special record breaking cars.

A beautiful car and its a choice between the 68 and 78 on my bucket list! I recall seeing a lovely Burgundy Model 68 at the Jersey Festival of Motoring many years back that got me into liking them.
