It's certainly the rear of a Tickford cabriolet- the external operating mechanism is the give-away. The rear wing looks like an Austin (Ruby-style Seven or Ten) but I don't think it will be an Austin as they were both available as a factory cabriolet. _________________ in the garage: 1938 Talbot Ten Airline

Sadly, Ray, it looks like it may well be that Salmons 12hp; the pattern of red oxide paint on the rear wing looks remarkably similar _________________ in the garage: 1938 Talbot Ten Airline

When I think back to my student days I tried to buy one like that in good condition for just £50 !
(My Dad wouldn't lend me the cash. He wasn't happy with pre war Standard brakes. ) |
