That's a rare ole bend in the road, has it now been completed or started on, as the article was from 2014 _________________ Paul

I was wondering whether they are able to jack up the rear to overcome such a problem. Fascinating viewing Penman, thanks for sharing.... |

Fascinating stuff, some of the kit these days is very well engineered. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

One of 20 such beams used on the new bridge in our village. They could only approach from the North and had to do a 180 by reversing into the road (left) and then reverse the last 1.5 Km to the bridge site. The guy on the right has the remote to rotate the rear bogie and then they doubled up the tractor units to reverse down the hill to the bridge site.

Gmaps has dates on Streetview and they are quite old for Berridale hairpin.
The overhead view has an image date of 2017, but I don't know how accurate that is however the view on Google Earth is the same and that does say 2009.
So, unless we have any NE Scotland members on here, the answer has to be; I don't know whether they have even started groundworks to ease the way up that hill.
Just checked OS maps online and they don't show any realignment either.
If anyone has done JogLe or LeJog this year they should know. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.
