This my time warp Jack Taylor with a full Campagnalo groupset.
Proper steel and brazed joints in a world of carbon fibre.

This is a fab link to Jacks workshop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALNsQpCL8LY

I would just like to say how nice it is to see a proper bike. All I know about Jack Taylor is that they were a bit special. I remember he built a special order frame with a curved seat tube.

It’s been a long time but I used to have rather nice Falcon designed by Ernie Clements (if you remember him?).

Yes it is proper bike Ray. Even the leather Brooks saddle isn't too bad!

Your Falcon would be very similar I guess. I don't remember Ernie Clements but when I worked for Raleigh in the 70's, my mate used to ride from Mansfield on a EC bike I'm sure.

There is just something about the traditional racers/touring bikes isn't there?

My Falcon also had a brooks saddle and lots of other nice features. Plenty of duralumin. It probably wasn't top notch but it looked the part and I loved it. Sadly, when my interest waned in favour of motorised transport my Brother took it on and ruined it.

I also have a soft spot for older Claud Butler and Bianchi cycles. Unfortunately I no longer have the ability to ride but I still like seeing them.
