Yep Ill be there on Friday with the Morris Register. I'm hoping to find some new suppliers for our spares service.

I received a call yesterday asking me if I was interested on putting a car on display. Of course, it would all be at my expense which would amount to £1,000 bearing in mind where I live. Strangely, I declined! |

That's a strange call to get Lowdrag - first off, in that the club concerned must know where you live and how it's not really feasible, but secondly, who on earth is deciding which cars to put on their stand seven days before the show opens? Late cancellation, presumably.
I'm going on Saturday. |

I tend to agree and the words piss-up and brewery come to mind. But given the shenanigans that have gone on in the JDC combined with Jaguar themselves not taking a stand because of how they were messed around last year and the JDC following suit the replica register were asked recently to share another stand to share costs. I quit the club several years ago due to problems with several directors, one of whom "lost his seat" at the AGM last week which leaves me on the brink of rejoining if,as expected, the other director resigns. The only way is up for the club I feel. But anyway, they wanted my XKSS but can't have it. |

I'm giving it a miss, just as I have for the past seven or so years. There's nothing that I might need to buy that I can't purchase more easily and cheaply elsewhere. As for the displays, I'd rather see cars doing what they're built to do rather than see them under the NEC's abysmal lightning. _________________ David

Going Saturday or Sunday - not decided which yet - depends on staffing on Jowett Stand. |
