For those who are interested, there's a programme on Channel 4, 9pm Sunday 17th December about Bentley Motors. It's described as

"For the first time, Bentley invite cameras behind the scenes. This documentary meets their staff and their customers as it visits the factory, the showrooms and the secret upgrades department."

though those of us with any kind of memory will recall a similar programme (on Quest, perhaps, so maybe a Nat Geo thing) a couple of years ago that banged on about how critical the Continental GT V8 was to their success, but then showed them building the W12 engine.

Anyway, might be an interesting programme for those who are interested in modern stuff, and for those nearby who might be pointing at the screen going "Ooh, I know him/her".

I'm in two minds about this. I did see one about rolls Royce and how they pander to the filthy rich. Not sure I want my nose rubbed in it re people with more money than they know what to do with, while others have nothing. Human nature

I've just watched the programme, and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I could have done with a bit less of the celebrity plumber and his comments, and as usual the voiceover man presumed viewers had the memory of a goldfish. But there were some interesting bits.

Didn't see anyone I recognised.

The attention to detail is mightily impressive, although if I had the funds to buy one, a new Bentley would not be on my shopping list (especially the modified vinyl-wrapped Khan 'creation'). I'd have liked to see more about the other models, rather than focusing on the 4x4.

An Arnage has much more appeal to me than any of the later offerings tbh.
