Morning all,

I quite like the small Rootes cars of the 1950s and 1960s. This Gazelle looks to be in good all-round condition, although I think if I was looking for a Gazelle I might try and find the earlier version, with the wraparound rear window, or even an estate. Nice car though:

I used a Gazelle as daily transport in about 1975/6, a great car and have fond memories of it.

Yes you are right Rick the earlier ones were better looking as mine was. it was dark green, Olive was the colour I think, with a sage flash (lighter green) down the side.

I still have a hankering for one but alas I should be cutting down rather than buying more cars, I have more projects than time left to live I recon Laughing but I wouldn't have it any other way, keep busy, keep moving the joints to stop them seizing up Laughing

About 10-12 years back I bought and earlier version on ebay, the same colour as this and body / interior not at all bad. Got the engine going and did some small jobs then sold it on. I only paid £125 for it, now you wont find anything like that now on ebay.
