Morning all,

Never let it be said that there are no "barn finds" (or in this case, "garage finds") out there to discover. The following A60 estate in Chester has been out of use since 1975, and while the colour is a little less-than-inspiring, it's a pretty scarce car now and definitely warrants saving - hopefully the plate will remain on it ....

The number is not on the DVLA database, so, as long as there is documentary evidence it can be preserved on this car, but on a non-transferable basis.

^^^ Great news, and the plate would almost certainly be off within the next month if that wasn't the case.
The LG Chester registration is of interest to me, due to dad's side of the family being several generations of Chester dwellers Smile

The A60 doesn't look too bad, but they can rot for England so it's difficult to know how bad it is without seeing it. I definitely prefer Dick Burzi's styling (A40, A50, A55 mk1) to the Pininfarina cars, but the estate is very practical and appealing, especially with the split tailgate and decent carrying capacity.

The tail-gate and the NS sill look a bit ropey but you've proved yourself with the welding Richard. Go for it!
