COMBE CARNIVAL - FROM HOT HATCHES TO CATERHAMS.

After a cracking May Day event it would appear that things can only get better this month. Monday 28th May will see an action packed grid with a total of eleven races, featuring not only our own fantastic championships but the highly exhilarating Caterham Graduates.

It will be all eyes on local man, Luke Cooper in the Melksham Motor Spares backed Formula Ford Championship. Luke has already had three wins at Combe and will be the man the others will have in their sights. With a stunning Grid Walk taking place on track between 11.50 and 12.30 spectators will have the chance to rub shoulders with drivers and take that all important selfie!

The National Windscreens backed Saloon Car Championship is a firm favourite for many and with a double dose of action there is guaranteed thrills and spills from the likes of Gray Prebble in his SEAT Leon and local man Simon Thornton-Norris in the now infamous Mitsubishi Colt. The saloon championship keeps on growing and never fails to deliver as one of the staples of the Castle Combe Racing Club diet!

For those that missed May Day Madness, you will be in for a treat with the SIMONSTONE MOTOR GROUP backed GT CHAMPIONSHIP. Possibly still the most eclectic mix of high performance race cars in the UK these beasts truly entertain the crowd with their fire breathing antics. It was Craig Dolby that stole the show last time in the first outing of the 6.0 litre powered VOLVO. But everyone’s favourite racing female Isla Cox has currently scored the most points. Can she keep up the pace with two full races of action?

Also keeping up the pace and not failing to entertain, is the firmly beloved Hot Hatch Series. Here it’s all about the WIN as points don’t make prizes for those racing. With a varied mix of cars and a wide range of drivers from novice to pro, it is a guaranteed non-stop roller coaster of racing!

If that wasn’t enough excitement, we are delighted to be welcoming the Caterham Graduates. Possibly the most recognisable and much loved kit car in the UK is out in full race form. Since the racing club formed in 1998 it is one of the largest single make UK Championships in club racing, with members enjoying the best value Caterham racing, in a competitive, fair and sociable Club environment. There will be 4 action packed races and one thing is guaranteed, packed grids and a whole lot of thrills and spills!

Either a seasoned spectator or a first time newbie, forget everything else and get yourselves to Castle Combe Circuit for a non-stop, high octane, action packed race meeting.

Tickets can be purchased on the gate with Adults at £15, Seniors at £10 and accompanied under 17's going free. Paddock passes can also be purchased for a further £2.50.
