Has anyone any experience of wiring up rear lights and indicators from scratch?
My lorry is a 12v system and has no wiring at all for the rear.
Any help or tips would be appreciated?

Just have a look at any 50s or 60s (simple) car wiring diagram. It shows a very simple path to follow.
Take the feeds from the headlamp and indicator switches.

I can take the headlight feeds but its never had indicators fitted so I will fit a period flasher unit and switch.

Look at a Morris Minor Wiring diagram, if the lorry is pre 1960 you could even have flashing stop lamps as the MM S2 had Smile

It is a straightforward task - use a period simple diagram as above. Do keep to the correct colour codes as it does help others later to sort things out

I have now set up a period dash switch, 2 pin flasher and wired up two period tail indicators. A little bit of fiddling and correcting earth's etc and having to re-solder the wires into one of the NOS lights and when all connected I have working rear indicators!

I have connected them on short feeds to the back of the chassis just to prove they operate, now I need to feed them up the chassis and up into the main control panel in the cab.
