I came across this earlier today. It is available at Amazon.ca but I couldn't find it on A*.co.uk.

I can see that with the addition of a custom mounting jig for whatever, this bit of kit would be useful to drill out blind holes, or even drill a precise directional hole in something too large to get under a drill press.

Here is their company information. Illinois USA

There are several similar tools available...although whether they are specced the same as the Milescraft one, I didn't especially check.

I enclose an amazon link, to show not just the main item, but those of similar design from other makers.
Thanks for posting..it's nice to know there are actually tools out there to help with drilling...I can never drill vertically if my life depended on it!

Hi Alastair. The design bit of the Milescraft that I like is the built in chuck, rather than relying on having the collar of the drill deciding where the centre should be. Close to the Youtube item I linked to there is "home shop" jig for drilling through a round shaft or tube.

Aaah, yes, I agree with you..the built-in chuck does eliminate a power drill's wandering chuck syndrome?

The above is available, it seems? Not a bad price, eh?
