Morning all,
Are there any cars that are particularly memorable for their odd quirks, rather than their on-paper specification, success (either in sales or in competition), and so on? I'm thinking odd things that the designers never thought of or planned for, but for which you now associate a particular car with?
When I was younger, I could always tell when a late version of a Volvo 140 series was driving in my direction, by the odd whistling of the air as it circled around the car's headlights. I remember regularly knowing that a 140 was heading in my direction, either while walking or on my bike, because of this unique whistling sound as it approached.

I hated the steering wheel on my Citroen BX because there was nothing to hook your hands on. I swapped it for a Peugeot one.
