I've been through all the Hillman Imp, Singer Chamois, Sunbeam Stiletto, Hillman Imp Californian and Hillman Husky/Commer Imp van ranges and it's not from any of those.
But it looks familiar.................... _________________ Starting Handle Expert

Thanks very much ive done the same - also cannot make a match.
Many think its a spitfire with that point in - but its narrower than that.
The old chap also was a standard triumph man
But it remains a mystery there are no markings on the inside
could it be the middle chrome of a standard 10?

I think you have answered your own question.
Those mounting points correspond exactly to the other part of the bumper.
There are members on here far more knowledgeable than me and their input will be interesting.
Our forum master, Rick( Richard Jones), used to own one of these Standards and he will know. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

Measurements would confirm it (I no longer have a Ten), but it does look like you've found a match.
Forum master eh? I like the sound of that

great stuff ive since advertised it on a well known auction site as stadard 10 but not 100 per cent. Hopefully a standard 10 owner will be able to do something with it. |

whats it worth?
as ive no other interest and i like to help keep old cars and part together im offering the item with free postage for 40 pounds. |
