Hi All

First time posting on this forum so forgive me if I’m in the wrong area.

I have a chaise with wheels of a Napier Car in my front garden as a feature (Will try attach photos). I’m trying to find out if anyone can tell what model it is and any other information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Napier built 4258 cars from 1900 to 1924. You may have a sought after chassis...does it have an engine or any other parts?

Please post some photos.

Thanks for posting the photos, Slim. The first thing to say is that the chassis has been truncated at the front.

Truncated meaning cut off / missing?

I'm not sure if it is missing or has just been cut off and fitted under the back part. That's just my initial opinion. I am sure other people will have something more to add. The handle standing up to the right hand side is the gear lever.
The rear wheels are mounted on a braked axle. No front wheel brakes. That is normal for a 'twenties car.

Hi Slim,

Thanks for posting the photos. It's a bit of a mystery item. Has it previously been a motor vehicle that has been cut up and used to construct a steerable trailer?

Peter

Here is a 30 hp Napier chassis.

An example of a 1910 Napier with wire wheels. (wire wheels were possibly have been made by Riley)
