Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum, so I thought i'd introduce myself. I'm Darryl from Sheffield and i'm a massive classic and performance car fan, and a regular attendee of shows and events. I don't currently own a classic, as i'm just getting out of my 1980's/1990's Japanese car phase, but i'm hoping to change that within the next year or so by adding a genuine classic to my 'owned' list (price has been the issue up to now)

I'll finish there before I begin to ramble, hopefully i'll get to know a few of you better as I begin my foray into classic car ownership!

Darryl

Welcome to the fold, looking forward to hearing what you decide on, I expect you’re all too aware that it’ll slow compared to Japanese classics.

Thanks, i like the idea of an XJ12/double six at the minute, but I still have an open mind. Yes the japanese stuff is great for performance, but i'm looking for something to eventually pass on to the kids, and I like the idea of getting them involved in the restoration so the japanese stuff with its fancy rear wheel steer, turbochargers and electronics might not be the best route. Also I have a couple of late 90's japanese cars currently, which i will more than likely keep hold of
