May I ask for some information please.

I have been asked by the owner of a 1966 Morris Oxford where he can buy mechanical and other spares for his vehicle.
I was aware that Earlwood was the major UK supplier prior to their closing earlier this year and a gentleman from Derby bought all the stock.

Would somebody be as kind to tell me who is now the leading BMC parts specialist or specialists in order that I can pass such information over to the owner.

Thank you

Ellis

There's a name mentioned in this thread about Earlpart, regarding the takeover of stock and sales going forward:

Thank you Rick for the link.

The name of course was Earlpart, my apologies.

largest mainstream BMC supplier would be Moss, much of what the smaller suppliers stock is from Moss, we do some stuff but its mainly pre war.

Try NTG. This is a seller who has been in business as long as I can remember - at least from when I owned a Morris Oxford VI. That would have been in the late 80s.

Great News! - Longbridge Motor Spares Limited

ado16.info has been talking with David Kingerley and is delighted to bring you great ADO16 news of Longbridge Motor Spares...

...Longbridge Motor Spares will become the new spare parts provider, filling the gap that Earlpart leaves with their cessation of business, a business that has been purchased by David.

There have already been face to face meetings, and more are planned which no doubt will lead to even more positive outcomes.

For now though, a very clear path is envisaged:

• Longbridge Motor Spares will specialise in a small number of vehicles – the ADO16 is one of those. Analysis will take place of past sales of remanufactured components and where demand makes economic sense David will look to continue investment in remanufactured components.

• Hydrolatsic units and exhausts will be handled by the ado16.info club secretary, Dawn, through hers and Ian’s existing Hydragas and Hydrolastic Service. GT-style exhausts and manifolds are available through Maniflow and a plan exists to supply an estate rear exhaust section from Maniflow to join onto the saloon exhaust from Ian and Dawn.

• Body panels will be supplied by Chris at Classic Sheetmetal and it is expected that collaboration between Classic Sheetmetal and Longbridge Motor Spares will develop.

For now David will be operating his new business on his own; he has many logistical matters to resolve and some will take a while to fix. Nonetheless, he is open for business and has a huge stock of ADO16 parts, ado16.info will continue to offer all the support we can.

Longbridge Motor Spares and David Kingerley can be contacted via,

I take my hat off to anyone getting parts made in low volumes, more so if they can make a living out of it, hope owners of 11/1300's recognise and support.

David is local to us and has been in business for many years supplying classic car parts. He has branched out and know what he is doing
