The occupants of this Herald, that ended up on its roof, were lucky to get away with minor injuries, according to this article.

I've often wondered how sturdy the roof of a Herald saloon is, with its slim pillars offering such good all-round visibility. It seems they're tougher than I thought.

I've seen dashcam footage (I think) of another Herald saloon that ended up on its roof, not the Herald driver's fault. The Herald stood up to it remarkably well and I don't think the occupant(s) were seriously hurt. These cars seem to be tougher than you might think.

I remember when a Herald overturned in Knaphill, nr. Woking back in the '70s. I seem to remember there were no casualties but the car was a gonner.
