Whilst we may question the merits of todays technology, the 60's & 70's offered drivers any number of questionable gadgets , the example below is a "project" that detected ones roof rack was about to fly off.......?

Hehe what a great gadget Cool

Up on a lofty shelf here at OCC Towers there's a book which I think contains 200 suggestions for "useful" home-build car accessories, probably from the 1950s. I must dig it out ...
