We've got to replace the video sometime soon, as we can no longer set the timer (can only do it via the remote, and thats gone u/s, grrrrrrrr)
we were pondering about getting one of these new fangled DVD recorders, but just wondered whether they've now settled for a standard thats going to last?? I remember reading a while back that there were two or more standards that different manufacturers were opting for (bit like the old days of VHS vs Betamax), but I just wondered if things were a bit more settled now? ie we don't want something that'll be out of date in a years time!!! all advice welcome
