Hi

Spurred on from a few posts recently I thought I would start this thread, where we can share our own autombilia collections, be it NOS, old tools or just a few snaps of a/your workshop?

I will start by posting part of my workshop/garage:

And part of my bearing Collection:

Cheers

Dave

NOW I see what it is I`m missing in my garage!
I like the drawers under the bench! My bench top is cluttered with coffee cans & jars full of nuts & bolts.

Hi old gto

I must give my grandad all the credit for the set up, as it used to be his garage, but then I am putting it to good use now!

I was going to sugest something that I just heard about, get coffee jars and srewe/fix the lid to the underside of a shelf or cuboard, then fill your jar and screw it up into the lid, extra space created, but make sure the jar has a tight fitting lid, with a good screwe thread!

Cheers

Very organised bb! the loo roll holder is a good idea, and again the drawers look really handy. Dad used to have a similar set of drawers in his garage, I think they were 1930s household drawers that he found somewhere - your grandad's look like they were made specially for the job

I'm off to collect a vertical metal storage cabinet on Friday evening, can never have too much storage!!

Very Happy

Rick

Hi

The Loo roll holder is actually very posh, it is a forged wrought iron holder, twisted and scrolled! But I made it too narrow, so you could only use a half roll! So to sort that, I mounted it at the bottom of a board so the roll is further away from the wall.

Cheers

Dave

Magnificent! I enjoy doing stuff like that. I did quite a bit of fabricating parts for the old Chevy in my workshop. But this was the most fun piece I made.....

It is for the matched pair of bud vases, to be mounted on the pilllar to the front of the rear windows!

Acquired a few more boxes of old stuff yesterday evening, from a pal of dads who was clearing some space in his garage. Most useful is a decent size metal cabinet thing, with lots of compartments (6' tall I suppose). Several boxes of bits, some a bit modern, others more of use (points, old coils, bits of hose, eleccy bits and so on, so quite a useful haul!).

This is a view of the front half of my garage/workshop, the shot is deceptive as the door is wide enough to drive a big jag through.

This is a shot of the toy in the center of shot in use on the drive.

I'm hoping to sit the lift in a recess in the floor of the garage & board it over when not in use but still have the option to roll it out onto the drive,
Regards,
Nick
