I think I still have all the e-brake parts from my old truck if you need anything.
Except I did use the hand lever and clevis on the midget. Wink

The Dodge was taken over to Donington today, for display at this weekend's historic race meeting. The last time it was there was in 1995, this is the first race meeting it's been to since 1955 Smile

A full report of the work done to the truck prior to its return to Donington after 17 years, and the weekend itself, now added in.

Other than general tinkering, there hasn't been much to report on the truck lately. However one interesting "find" has now been added to the site that relates to it.

An Australian chap keen on military vehicles stumbled across a home-made model of my own truck in a dusty secondhand shop that he popped into during a trip to visit his daughter in NSW. The story of this find, and the events that led to it being identified, can be read here: http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/dodge-model.htm

As it was a warm and breezy day yesterday, it seemed like a good idea to fire up the old girl (for the first time in several months) and move it around a bit to keep everything functioning. Plus being outside it was a good opportunity to air everything.

Leaning against the front is an original brush guard, of the type that it would have had during WW2 when in use with the RAF. Gordon discovered this and arranged for me to acquire it a few months ago. It'll need some straightening out, but it's rare for one of these to turn up in any condition.

.. and it was just a few miles from Rick, too. It wasn't even that expensive, because there are only about half a dozen trucks in Europe you could adapt it to.

The same argument could be used the other way around, so rare so very expensive!

Ooo thanks for posting that, I've not seen this shot before. Does it give any indication of where or when this was? It must be at a hillclimb meeting because of the twin rear wheels fitted. Is this in a magazine or book?

thanks, RJ
