Just got back from the US, so thought you'd like to see some of the American cars I pictured (Mainly wrecks)
This pickup has sat outside my new wife's neighbours house for 30 years:
BMW for sale for $1400, I thought this was a 2002 or 1602 but have been told its an earlier model. The windscreen said 1964.
No idea what this is, but ivy was growing all over it
A sweet Pontiac GTO
Cadillac, yours for $400
Ford Hotrod
Cadillac Eldorado?
55 chevy
Nice Porsche 911
Charger
Bullitt Mustang
Another Mustang sitting in a field
Finally, the guy had about 100 Model A or T Fords, just sitting in his yard but won't ever sell them. Apparently anyone who asks is told to clear off.

Nice job Welshie,
The ivy covered van is an International Harvestor Metro Van
And as for the last shot . . . . plenty of rusty gold right there.
Cheers _________________ Rosco |

Saw these in a yard about a mile from my house today:
I thought this was a Lada Riva Estate from behind:
Lots of bikes there:
This is the second abandaned Bond i've seen in the radius of my home, this one looks to be a Mark E convertible:
Finally, for Sam Glover:

I can tell you have never driven one Rick.
I had one in the 1960s, Think oil drum and sledge hammers with the hood up.
Reliability in making the unbelievable noise very poor.
I suffered long silences as it rattled its points loose, did this twice before I used Locktite, then it's clutch fell to bits. All these stoppages repaired by the roadside under the gaze of my wife who hated it.
When a circlip came off the piston gudgeon pin, and scored the barrel and broke the rings, I gave up. This last breakdown meant pushing it half a mile home with the help of my Father in law who already had me correctly summed up.
Gave it a rebore and piston, followed by an advert in the Exchange and Mart. I felt guilty for months afterwards and kept a keen lookout for the new owner.
I know they fetch silly money these days, paid by silly people. They barely kept up with the traffic when they were new.
This from someone who likes Allegros and Marinas.

Kels
Couldn't agree more, my grandmother had the original and a friend one like in the picture. They were surprisingly dangerous to. |

Hi Paul, to be honest I had no idea... The advertisement stated an 1935 Armstrong Siddeley Ute, a Merc, a Triumph, a Cedric but there were only two pics and now the ads changed and all car-photos have been taken down... I thought this might have been the AS due to the age and the shape of the guards....
I plan to turn up with some cash, and at the very least Ill get some pics for the forum. _________________ Jon

Hoped others would comment, but I still reckon that a Triumph Renown c1950 is the most likely assuming all that you see belongs to the car.
I do recall spending an age a few years back searching a spinney near London for a prewar Jowett that was reported to be amongst about 100 cars dumped there. Eventually found it disguised under a razor edged bonnet!
If that red swelling at the top of the rad is a globe then theres no doubt!
Looking forward to the pictures!

Paul,
I agree with your identification; I googled some Renown images and the grill and even the position of the headlight mounts look the same.
I left a message with the Triumph club here as I dont have the room for another project, and I would prefer it to go to someone who will appreciate it rather than the scrap metal merchant! _________________ Jon
