Hi
I wonder how big it is, if it is metal and sufficiently large it reminds me of an american central bumper section but I can't think which one.

I think I have it, look at the centre of the grill on the '51 police car.

It's actually not large at all. It's about 4 feet long tops so it wouldn't be like a full bumper. It looks as thought it's just a piece that would be on the front of the car/truck but not the full bumper.

Oh wow that does look very close. It's seems as though that part on the police car extends all the way to the front fenders. My part isn't that long and doesn't seem like it's missing any thing from it so it wouldn't have extended that far to either side of the car. It's like you said before it's as if it's just a center piece to the front of a car. But that's the closest anyone has showed me so far so I very much appreciate your help.

I am an antiques collector with a lot of good connections to very old barn locations that people allow me to go through and I find very old and valuable things that I sell to various antiques dealers in my area (Albany, NY). I found this in one of the barns and didn't really know what I had so I figured I would post it here to get some help on identifying it and I lucked out with such quick and helpful response so thank you for that. I'm sure I will have more parts and such that I will need help identifying so I'm glad I found a forum that has such helpful members. Thanks again!
