Nice little write-up on J40s

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/motoring/features/the-prince-of-pedal-cars-413722.html

This caught my eye in the article:
"But perhaps the J40's shining moment was its appearance at the Austin 50th-birthday gala in 1955, with miniature Devons racing through Longbridge, with commentary by the radio star Kenneth Horne."

I wonder if anyone was filming this at the time???

I haven't worked out how to watch it yet but take a look at this. It's probably what you are looking for!

This is a very good bit of film, from the anniversary of Austin and is available on DVD which has other Austin related films including 'They Work again' which is about the Ex-Miners making the Austin J40 Pedal Cars, here's the link;

I travel to the UK fairly frequently, and when I do, I visit all sorts of old car shows. (Mainly Austin Seven Events) I have seen stalls that specialise in new, reproduction J40 bits. I was amazed that the market was big enough to support such a project. Until I saw the prices of the J40's!
