Hello dalbuie,
I must make a note of the date for Thirlestane to see your efforts on display. It looks grand right now and I am sure the finished article will be well worth popping up from Northumberland for!
Practically next door, in fact.

oldtimer

Hi oldtimer

Sorry to say I won't be at Thirlestane with the Chevy as I've only just received the new steering arm and track rod ends from the USA so still have to align these, fit the new tyres and refit the fenders. Have booked Glamis and Biggar and will pull out all the stops to make these.

I will be at Thirlestane though on the Scottish Riley club stand if anyone wants to pop by and say hello.

Cheers
D

All ready for her MOT on Friday Shocked

Still got the bonnet to paint - ran out and more on order - and the bumpers to fit but other than that it's done.

Hopefully gives me time to register her and then buff up all the new paint and do a few test runs to work out what mileage I'm getting at my cruising speed, 35 MPH Very Happy

No Rick, I managed to clean it up and used some chrome tape to repair 2 of the grills. You need to look really close to see the difference and it was that or $700 plus delivery for a new one Embarassed

Yes, dark green. I had a few tins of smooth green hammerite that I had left over from another job and I decided to use those on the chassis. When the paint went on it close to the original body colour so I sent autopaint a sample and they mixed up some cellulose for me.

Cheers

Off to the DVLA tomorrow to hand in all the docs so hopefully have a number by the end of the week and then I can load all the garden rubbish and take it to the recycling centre.

Any recommendations for suppliers of good old black and silver plates. Metal ones?

Here's the truck with the bonnet painted.

Cheers
