Chris dropped me a line, with these photos of 2 old car radios he has. One is by Idi, the other looks like a Ford factory fitment..

The idi looks (to me) like a fairly standard aftermarket type unit - am I right here? Chris is wondering what car the Ford one would have been fitted to originally?? he gave me this info:

"The Ford radio has a date of May 8, 1964 stamped in black on the side
of it. Don't know if that's an original marking or not. I was
thinking maybe a 1964 El Camino...

The other has a tag that says Inland Dynatronics, Inc. Model
MPX-2000, 24 Transistor Car Radio, and has a number of 91012400."

The El Camino was a Chevrolet, wasn't it?

The Ford radio looks like it may have come from a 1964 Ford Fairlane.
